I took the photograph and forgot all about them, looking at other shop windows, the decorated eggs of the Faberge Big Egg Hunt and a few galleries. One of the Halcyon galleries had a tribute to…  I saw Gavin Turk’s exhibition Gavin + Turk at Ben Brown Fine Art last week, where he examines his name as a brand. The exhibition is responding to Italian conceptual artist Alighiero Boetti, who is featured at the Tate Modern until May, and the nature of symbols. There were some very beautiful painted canvases in black….  This is fairly self-explanatory – circles in and around London: from left, in a cup of Earl Grey, in a coffee and orange shortbreads at Black Truffle (the nibble out of the corner is not by me), railway station platform roofing supports, one of the decorated eggs around London at the moment (The Eight) from…  The Criterion Theatre’s adventurous off-peak programming yesterday was Live from the Criterion – Tom Stoppard’s Artists Descending A Staircase. It’s about the fifth event I’ve been to at the theatre in the past few months. They are timed to fall outside the theatre’s evening performances of The 39 Steps, so have been on at lunchtimes…  Selfridges’ windows this week featured some of Britain’s ‘brightest design talent of 2012′, ready for London Fashion Week (February 17-21) and some strong monochrome displays. I took a couple of these as my theme this week and added to it with scarves (I’m a girl with an excuse to window shop – sue me) and…
