Monthly Archives: January 2012 I just managed to catch the Royal Academy’s Soviet Art and Architecture (1915-1935) and recreation of Tatlin’s Tower before they closed late this month. The tower in the academy’s courtyard was definitely eye-catching. Seeing many of the drawings in the exhibition was a bit like being back at school – lots of pencil, red and…  Walking around London at night has become a colourful event and here are five photographs which reflect that. The first is fittingly Art = Pants by Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist: 300 pairs of internally illuminated pairs of pants hanging outside the Hayward Gallery. The Old Vic on The cut looked superbly Christmassy but the carousel also…  Going through the iPhone archive, I found these two leaves which were lying like this on the autumn pavement. I wanted to play around with size of the same kinds of shapes because of this and used coloured pencils. Here’s a scanned version of the drawing I did.
